The Counts of Valachia: Countess Erzsébet Báthory

According to legend, Erzsébet Báthory was a cruel serial killer with a beauty obsession, who used the blood of her servants and students to stay young. As she approached 50, the Baroness became increasingly obsessed with her youth, amidst the visible changes in her age, so she made a pact with an entity that offered her blood as a remedy for her anxiety. In exchange, the Baroness was to serve this entity and offer it part of her harvest of victims as an offering each year. The Countess gladly accepted the deal. She was then offered a quarter of the kingdom to rule over to cover up the murders carried out during carnivals.
